  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating. Otherwise, prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Brush the dough with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic.
  4. Spread ricotta cheese evenly across the dough, leaving a one-inch border around the edges. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  5. Scatter the shredded mozzarella over the ricotta layer.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese bubbles.
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately top with sliced strawberries and torn basil leaves.
  8. Drizzle balsamic glaze and honey over the entire pizza. Slice immediately and serve while still warm.

Choose the ripest strawberries for the best flavor. Fresh basil is essential for the dish. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
