Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- Prepare the shrimp by patting them dry with paper towels. Toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil, half the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 12-14 inches in diameter. Transfer to parchment paper.
- Mix the remaining olive oil with the remaining garlic and the zest of one lemon. Brush this mixture over the dough.
- Distribute the torn mozzarella evenly across the dough. Sprinkle half the fresh basil leaves over the cheese.
- Arrange the marinated shrimp on top of the cheese, spacing them evenly.
- Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the shrimp are pink.
- Remove from the oven and squeeze the juice of one lemon over the pizza. Add the remaining basil leaves and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Let the pizza rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Use fresh shrimp for best results. Ensure shrimp are dry before marinating to prevent sogginess. Consider par-baking the crust for 5 minutes for a crispier base.
